"Can we do an extra star? I was at an excruciating 10/10 on my pain threshold meter when I started searching endlessly through a sea of meh! Physical Therapists offices and firms. My back was a Hot Mess and I needed to walk , not hunched over anymore. I needed somewhere that was not a therapy factory where the therapists changed on you every week and looked at a "diagnosis sheet" when you walked in, to translate what was going on with your broken body. When a friend recommended Pursuit, and more specifically, Dr.Ron, with his intense attention to detail, his intuition, his kindness and what I now call his "magic touch" – I knew he was the man to fix me. He fixed me! I’m more sorted than I’ve been at 25, honestly! I run, walk and swim through life like a boss triathlete and am joining a kick-boxing class. Not bad for a middle-aged millennial with a bad back. It’s been a month since I finished up with his phenomenal program- it rehabilitated, restrengthened and revived my pelvis ( turns out it was my pelvis all along, and not my back like all the other physical therapy "bots" have told me before). Before we started therapy, I made Dr.Ron promise that he would get me back up and walking in my Louboutins in 2 months. He kept his promise. I’m in heels all the the time now, except when I sleep. Thank you Dr.Ron! You are amazing and you have magic in your hands!"Read More
"I’ve suffered with severe headaches/migraines for over 10 years. I’ve been to 3 different chiropractors and 2 neurologists and an oral surgeon. I’ve been to the ER and had multiple MRIs and CTs. I’ve tried several different diets and supplements. Not to mention all of the different drugs the Drs have tried on me. Some of them with terrible side effects. I’ve been through PT and massage therapy. I’ve even tried spinal decompression and acupuncture. I felt like my life was essentially over. I couldn’t even go on vacation without losing whole days to the headaches and vomiting. There was no rhyme or reason. No real triggers. I would get them at all times of the day and night. I was so depressed. Then I read a book about a new therapy called dry needling. I googled it and happened upon Pursuit Therapy with Dr. Ron. I thank God every single day. Ron has changed my life. Literally. I’m totally off all of the Gabapentin. And I went from taking 2-3 Imitrex a week to only 4 in TEN weeks. The clinic is very clean, and everyone is very professional. And it’s one on one treatment. No switching to different therapist or sharing a therapist with several different patients at the same time. It took about 4 weeks to start breaking the cycle. After that there was steady progress. I can’t believe how great it feels to be normal again. I’m telling you that your health is your life. You owe it to yourself to live life to the fullest and you can’t do that while in pain. Pursuit Therapy can help. I can’t recommend them enough. The difference in my life is incredible."Read More
"I decided to see Ron at Pursuit Physical Therapy due to symptoms I had been experiencing from a neck injury I incurred six years previously. The symptoms continued to get worse over that six-year span to the point where it was impossible to enjoy a normal life. After countless hours and appointments spent with physicians all over the state each with their own opinions about what was going on with me, and all of them failing to help or even be able to create a rational results-based plan, I had virtually given up, and accepted that fact that I would be dealing with these symptoms for the rest of my life. My wife spent a lot of time on the internet trying to find a results based physical therapist in the central Florida area. At the time I was at the point where I felt like this was pointless exercise and never thought I’d be able to live a normal life again. When she came across Ron’s website and showed me some of his videos I actually perked up and something said to me "this guy is going to help me". His videos explained exactly what pain and symptoms I was experiencing, the cause of those symptoms, and what programs he put in place for his patients to address and fix the root causes of the symptoms. Most of the physicians I had seen previously wanted to put me on medications. New meds, old meds, and some even prescribed me experimental medications to try and get rid of my debilitating migraines etc. When I spoke to them about my situation, I could tell none of them really seemed to be listening but rather just wanted to put me on something and see their next patient. That was how Ron was so different. During my initial evaluation Ron made me feel like I was the only person in the world that he was focused on, and really dug into the root causes of my symptoms. He showed a side of himself that I’ve only grown to know more, he truly cares about getting his patients pain free. He asked in depth questions, brought out medical books that showed exactly what was going on, and he explained to me that it was going to be a long road, but he knew he could reduce my pain. He told me how he was going to go about this, and for the first time, I knew I was seeing someone who had a plan that made sense. This was truly one of the happiest moments in my life. Within eight sessions I felt like a completely different person and was even able to go on a vacation with my wife and her friends and enjoy my time. After being with Ron for around a year now, I would say that I am back to 90-95% of myself, and that almost all my symptoms have dissipated through stretching, strengthening, getting back to exercising on my own, and the dry needling has helped exponentially as well for my headaches and migraines. Obviously, most of Ron’s patients won’t need to see him as long as I have, but before I went to Ron, I would experience debilitating head flairs and migraines lasting for days as a result from trying to perform simple tasks such as speaking, opening any type of door, picking up any item with any sort of weight to it, watching or working on any type of screen, driving, standing from a seated position, walking, walking up and downstairs, and I also had a terrible case of vertigo that I had been dealing with for 3 years. Now my vertigo is gone, I’m driving on my own, I don’t even think about picking up items with any heft or weight to them, I don’t think about opening and closing doors, and I’m even back to running between 20-25 miles a week, and exercising at home. If anyone in my life, whether they be friends, family, or even casual acquaintances needed any type of physical therapy whether it be minor or major I wouldn’t let them go anywhere besides Pursuit Physical Therapy. I honestly owe it to Ron for giving me my life back, and he happens on top of everything to be one of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met in my entire life. I consider him a true friend."Read More
"I went to see Pursuit Physical Therapy for Hip pain. I’ve had pain for about 5 years, just thought it was nerve damage from a surgery. The pain got worse and worse. So after having an MRI done, the doctors said I had a labral tear. I wanted to go to someone who specializes in athletic therapy, because to me this was a sports injury and I tend to be a very active person. Not being from the area, we Googled Physical Therapist near me and we found a few, but Pursuit Physical Therapy looked the best from Reviews. So we went to the webpage and checked out their training and were excited about the training they had. I’ve done therapy before and from the start I was amazing. I emailed on the weekend and got a response back on the weekend. It shocked me, in a good way. On my first appointment Dr Martin took the time to sit and listen to my issues. Mind you I was hurting so bad (I had a cortisone injection right before going). It was a rough start, but Dr. Martin was awesome! After a couple visits we decided it was more of hip flexor issues. After about a week and a half I was back up to 10K steps a day and a half hour every other day of Pickleball. Had some bad days because of overdoing it, but that was my fault. Lol Due to not being from the area and having to leave before my 8 weeks. Not 100% better yet, but I am getting there. I did just do a 3 mile hike in Kentucky with no issues! Dr. Martin gave me a program to do at home and it is helping! For anyone in the Orlando area and needs physical therapy I highly recommend Pursuit Physical Therapy! When you find a Physical Therapy that is willing to listen to your issues, push’s ya to just the right level, and treats you like a real person (not just another patient) why would you go anywhere else?"Read More
"I am an occupational therapist that was injured on the job. After going through workers compensation for my shoulder injury, I was still experiencing shoulder pain and episodes of dizziness that highly affected my ability to work, care for myself, and my home. It was a long frustrating process where a neck injury was also found but no one could tell me what exactly was the cause of my issues. A very trustworthy and knowledgable coworker recommended Pursuit Physical Therapy. He said if anyone could solve my complex issue, they could. I was desperate to get back to normal, so I went to see Dr. Trey Martin. He was professional but friendly and didn’t dismiss me. He actually listened to my concerns like others hadn’t. I was highly impressed by his thorough research to apply current evidenced based practices and techniques to solve my symptoms. He figured out what the core of problem was when no one else did. I started experiencing symptom relief approximately 3 weeks into therapy. Now, I can lift my heavy patients at work without pain, dizziness, or fear of collpasing. I can finally do the dishes, laundry, and vaccuming again without having to take a break every 5 minutes. The treatment experience as well as the results are priceless to me. I honestly thought I was never going to be able to be an acute care occupational therapist again, which is my passion. I finally have my life back, and that means the world to me. I cannot thank Dr. Martin and Pursuit Physical Therapy enough."Read More
"Dr. Michael Fabrick brought me back from facing serious spinal fusion surgery and got my pain level down from a 9 to a 0 in less than 6 weeks. I had debilitating sciatic nerve pain caused by a spinal fracture and protruding discs between L3-L4 and L4-L5. I am a tennis player and could not enjoy the activity I love the most, nor could I even stand or walk for more than 2 minutes at a time. I had undergone months of pain mgt. and "one size fits all" physical therapy at a well-known hospital system in Orlando to no avail, and was advised I needed spinal fusion back surgery. I found Pursuit Therapy when I googled sciatic nerve treatment. Admittedly, when I read the testimonials, I was skeptical. It just sounded too good to be true. Having nothing to lose, I gave them a shot as a last-ditch effort before surrendering to surgery. It was literally one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life! My very first appointment was an evaluation with Dr. Michael Fabrick, a well-known tennis pro physio (check him out on My Tennis Life on the Tennis Channel)! He immediately gave me hope and, by the end of the initial 90-minute eval, he told me he could help me recover and play tennis again without surgery. I saw Dr. Fabrick 2x per week for 6 weeks and "graduated" from the program yesterday. I have my life back!!! I am lifting weights and ready to start tennis again. Words do no justice in describing what Dr. Fabrick and Pursuit Therapy have done for my mind, body and spirit. Not only am I pain free now, but I have a maintenance plan for the future so I can avoid ever being back in the same predicament again. My experience has been incredible and worth every cent. I assure you that the testimonials on this website are all true – they are incredible professionals, their skill-levels are UNMATCHED and they change lives every day! Believe it. Go there. Get your life back too!"Read More
"Not only is Trey Martin incredibly handsome, his services rendered were top notch. He was extremely knowledgeable and forthcoming. Helped me clear up my shoulder injury and educated me in prevention as well. Excellent service! 10/10! Would hurt myself again to come here!"
"My middle back was really bothering me, I had aching pains that wouldn’t go away and it was very uncomfortable so I decided to see Ron. My dad used Ron when he had plantar fasciitis and he helped him tremendously. So, he was the first physical therapist we called. I also had been to several chiropractors and massage therapists and neither were able to help relieve my pain. When I saw Ron, he knew I needed to do and gave me exercises to do to strengthen and stretch my back. This helped to completely get rid of my pain and not just feel temporary results. Within two to three weeks I started feeling relief and this was a huge blessing, but about two months after I had no pain. I am a competitive water skier and was having trouble skiing due to my back pain and now I am able to train without any pain. I would absolutely tell others to see Ron! Ron helped me tremendously and was always checking in to see how I was doing and offering up help. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!"Read More
"I went to see Ron because of intense muscle pain I had since I was 14. I was referred from my mother who had a great experience going to Ron. At Pursuit, I was not just another number and was the only patient focused on during my sessions. Ron was the only doctor who did not suggest surgery to fix my symptoms. I can now play tennis pain free, which is something I never thought I would be able to do again. To anyone on the fence on whether to go to Pursuit or not, I highly recommend it!"Read More
"I moved to Florida from Baltimore in May and was still in pain from last November. I had seen other Physical Therapists in Maryland and they all basically did the same thing. Cracked and popped and gave me "homework". They didn’t listen to what I was actually saying. I did some research and found Pursuit PT. I am always a skeptic and figured all of the reviews couldn’t be true but I was still experiencing pain and needed help. I was introduced to Trey Martin, who would turn out to be my Dr. He did something that no one else would do, listen to what was actually going on and then put a plan in place that would slowly but surely lessen my pain until I didn’t feel it anymore. Of course the work was hard and there were weeks where I felt I was going backwards, but that was just my body trying to fight the natural instinct of just being in pain. Trey was there every step of the way and made it seem like my success was his success. This is something that is so valued because you feel as though you are not just another patient. Your feelings (pain and otherwise) are taken into account and that matters. I now (after 8 weeks of rugged PT and doing the work at home) wake up with no pain in my leg, which hasn’t happened since last November. If you are looking for a place that wants you to feel better because they want to help and actually listen to you, then you need to go to Pursuit Physical Therapy. If you are looking for cookie cutter and to be treated like, "just another patient", then don’t go here lol. Trey and everyone there are awesome and I wouldn’t be pain free without them!!!"Read More
"I am very pleased to share my success story because it has surpassed my expectations and I want others to receive the same treatment to improve their quality of life! After my sports career ended, I followed up by umpiring Baseball for 30 years and wanted to continue to have a more than average physical capability in my ensuing years. I wanted to go to a place where I could get real results and wanted the best possible care. What made Pursuit different were: Full time attention from Dr Jess for the entire session – no substitutes and no down-time, Total dedication by Dr Jess to my full recovery, Constant encouragement to perform and do my home, Immediate attention when I wasn’t performing correctly, No "sugar-coating" on my progress but rather true and honest feedback, An open environment for asking questions and getting helpful recommendations, and Dr Jess’s constant confidence building. After every session I was eager to return home and work the exercises prescribed by Dr Jess. This is key to getting the results you want from therapy. Bottom line -you want to be pain free and do all the things someone my age expects to do to have quality of life. To others considering Pursuit, I would tell them don’t agree to their program until you can say "I will follow the program and do my part after hours". If you can, Pursuit will get you pain free! P.S. DR. JESS IS THE BEST!!!"Read More
"Michael is incredible to work with. He is extremely dedicated and hard working and that’s why I chose to work with him. He rehabbed my wrist and elbow for the last year and a half and I am very happy with the results. Each day we had a plan and a goal that we achieved. His care was way better than any other PT I’ve worked with. I saw results very quickly and got better each week. This allowed me to compete at my highest level. He is very professional and will fix anything that is hurting. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing an injury"Read More
"After a bad back injury backstage in 2013, I thought I would never be the same person again. I was constantly in pain, constantly re-pinching nerves, constantly taking sick days from work to lay in bed with back spasms. I’d been to dozens of physical therapists before I found Pursuit, all of whom told me to "rest, ice and stretch." Those physical therapists gave me exercises and told me that I wasn’t flexible enough and my hamstrings were tight even though I spent the first hour of my day every day stretching. I had lost hope in physical therapy and resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be "broken" for the rest of my life. Then, I found Ron through a mutual friend. During the consultation, he recognized almost instantly that my sciatica was a result of neural tension and nerve scarring which came to be when I herniated a disc in my lumbar. I’d never been told anything close to that. From the initial consultation, his one-on-one approach to patient care meant that I was seeing just one physical therapist for one hour who was entirely focused on my goals. When I first walked into Pursuit’s lobby, I was at a 5/10 pain level and it was a "good day." We discussed my goals for recovery and I told Ron that I wanted to "be less in pain." Now, three months later, I am working out every day, I am back to ballet, and I haven’t felt an ounce of back pain in over a month. I cannot put into words how appreciative I am of Ron Miller and Pursuit Physical Therapy—he has sincerely changed my life."Read More
"Neck tightness in my trapezius brought me in. I’ve had chiropractic adjustments in the past and they were much quicker sessions with less back and forth conversation. This visit with Michael at Pursuit Physical Therapy did not feel rushed. There was plenty of conversation to help me understand what my issues were, what most likely caused them and what needed to be done to solve them. Within 48 hours of treatment and the exercises to do at home, I was feeling much better with a lot of pain relief. I can turn my head with full range of motion to the right and touch my chin to my clavicle with no pain. This was not the case before seeing Michael. I would recommend giving Pursuit a shot at treatment. Nothing is guaranteed but they were able to help me feel much better in a short period of time so hopefully my experience may be yours as well."Read More
"Are you an athlete worried about picking the right physical therapist or costs of PT? Dr. Trey Martin PT is the only correct choice for a time/cost efficient recovery. In March 2021, I sustained an AC joint separation playing rugby requiring full shoulder reconstruction surgery. My endeavors to become a pro rugby player seemed to be stripped away in an instant. Fearing I may never play rugby again, I searched for the best option for physical therapy. Through mutual work and Trey’s expertise and constant encouragement, he had my shoulder with sharp constant pains recover back to being pain free and back on the rugby field in three months and benching 225 and deadlifting 405 four months post-surgery. My aspirations of becoming a professional rugby player are back on track entirely because of the work Trey put into healing and supporting me. After a month of PT, I was already 2 months ahead of schedule. For any athletes worrying their injury has ended their career, please consult with Dr. Trey Martin and get back on the road to pro!"Read More
"I had been dealing with severe lower back pain and sciatic never pain down my right leg for over ten months. The pain was so bad I could not bend over to complete simple household tasks, let alone train for the occasional 5Ks I like to run for fun. I eventually gave in to getting and MRI, where a herniated disc was found and subsequently three different back doctors labeled me as a candidate for back surgery. But I had heard stories of one back surgery leading to subsequent back surgeries and I really didn’t want to start down that road. I am a member of a local women’s running group on Facebook. On the page, there had been previous conversations about local physical therapists who had helped runners with injuries. And Dr. Ron Miller was a name that was continuously given as someone who helped. When I went to my initial assessment with Dr. Miller, he listened to all of my symptoms and even previous injuries/pain I had dealt with and created a treatment plan that not only addressed my back issue but also helped with previous hip and knee pain. Within a matter of a few weeks treatment, my pain went from a 9 to a 0 and I was able to complete simple tasks. And after about six weeks I was able to start Dr. Miller’s return to run program. I am grateful because I have my life back and I am able to go about my day and not have to worry about my back hurting or getting in the way of achieving what I want to accomplish. I would give everyone this advice: don’t let the doctor rush you into a quick surgery. Seek out someone like Dr. Miller and enjoy a less invasive form of healing."Read More
"I went to Pursuit Physical Therapy for the treatment of Plantar Fasciitis. I had been seeing another large well known physical therapy group for over a month but my pain was getting worse (a lot worse) and therefore I was afraid that surgery would be in my future. Ron’s office was totally different. He did a thorough evaluation of my pain and what might be the cause of the problem. What makes his practice so unbelievably different is the one-on-one treatment time. Ron literally is working with you for an hour and only you! At the previous group I went to, the therapist saw 3-4 people at a time. With Ron, I was the only patient and his focus was 100% on getting me back on my feet (pun intended!). He found treatment paths to success that I was comfortable with and he had a very methodical plan to get me back to being pain free without surgery. I also appreciated his texts in between appointments just to check in and see how I was doing. In one month I went from a feeling of despair (due to poor treatment practices of previous therapist) to knowing that I would become pain free. I’ve heard of people suffering with plantar fasciitis for a year or even more but Ron had me back to my normal workout routine in only 4.5 months. It would have taken even less time if I had gone to him first instead of the other place. While getting treated for the plantar fasciitis, I also managed a slight tear in my rotator cuff. Again, Ron went thru a healing and strengthening process that had me back to daily lap swims in just a few weeks. I enthusiastically recommend Ron and Pursuit Physical Therapy. I would also recommend starting treatment as soon as you have pain. My healing time took longer because I waited, thinking it would get better and then when I finally went to get help, I unfortunately started with the wrong physical therapy group. Moral to the story is to call Ron first and not procrastinate in thinking the pain will heal itself. In addition to the quality and expert care I received, Ron is a very positive, encouraging, and (sometimes) funny guy! Haha! 5 stars all the way!"Read More
"Prior to scheduling an appointment at Pursuit Physical Therapy I was having terrible, incapacitating headaches that could not be relieved. My headaches had been misdiagnosed as migraines and despite being prescribed a migraine medication, my headaches persisted and were only temporarily relieved by the medication. Seeing no relief from the medication and suspecting that these in fact were not migraines at all, I decided to schedule an appointment at Pursuit to see if there was anything they could do to help with my headaches. From day one Dr. Ron was so kind and caring and truly wanted to get to the bottom of what was causing my headaches. Dr. Ron quickly and properly diagnosed my headaches as stemming from an issue in my neck and upper traps and was able to completely resolve my headaches. I no longer suffer from those debilitating headaches and I feel better than I have in years. Thank you Dr. Ron for all your amazing work!"Read More
"I had a left shoulder arthroscopy procedure performed over a year before I was referred to Pursuit Physical Therapy. I thought this procedure would stop the escalating pain in my left shoulder which trickled down my arm. After healing, I went to multiple physical therapy sessions at the clinic recommended by my surgeon but the pain and inability to use my left arm continued and prevented me from enjoying many aspects of my active lifestyle. The use of my left arm was very limited – lifting it even to shoulder height was painful, I could not pull it across my chest, I couldn’t play golf (which I love), wasn’t able to do chores, had trouble driving, exercising, etc. I was very fortunate to be referred to Pursuit Therapy by a friend – my golf instructor. She had done a lot of research for herself and advised me that this was the best therapy clinic in the Orlando area. She was absolutely right! After spending time on their website and also reading all their testimonials, I made an appointment. From my first visit and 90 minute evaluation with Dr. Michael Fabrick I felt hope that I could have a lifestyle without discomfort and pain. I booked 10 sessions with Dr. Fabrick (twice a week) and with the passing of each week, I could feel definite improvements. During each session, he would explain in detail what he was doing and why he was doing it; he did only manual therapy and sent me home with exercises to do. He also did dry needling which helped me tremendously. At the end of my 10 sessions, he gave me relief from pain that I haven’t had for 12 months. Michael was also a joy to work and his caring nature and sense of humor made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Pursuit Physical Therapy – thank you to Dr. Michael Fabrick, Dr. Ron Miller and everyone else at Pursuit."Read More
