Dr. Ron Miller is the owner and founder of Pursuit Physical Therapy. Dr. Miller received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2008, he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina where he also published his dissertation: “The change in the diffusion of water in normal and degenerative lumbar intervertebral discs following joint mobilization compared to prone lying” to study the effects of manual therapy in the treatment of low back pain using new DWI technology with MRIs. He then went on to complete a Post-Doctoral Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Florida Hospital, where he furthered his specialized training and published research: “Application of Regional Interdependence in a 20-Year-Old Male Baseball Player with Recurrent Non-Specific Low Back Pain: A Retrospective Case Report”, highlighting a new treatment concept of how impairments in other neighboring joints influence the primary complaint of pain. Dr. Miller is credentialed by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist. Dr. Miller also has advanced manual therapy and dry needling training with the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. He is considered an expert in orthopedic physical therapy and has published multiple research manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.

He prides himself on getting his patients better faster, by using the most current evidenced-based interventions, and doing what is best for the patient’s goals.

His core belief is that it is not about the physician, the physical therapist, or the insurance company: it is about what is truly best for the patient. Dr. Miller lives in Orlando, FL, and enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle, running, golfing, fishing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his better half Haley and 5 year old old daughter Sienna.
